Company Specific Rates

There are different methods to provide different rates to companies and agents and each method will have a different outcome so you must first establish what you want to do.

Do you want this company to have the same discount or additional charge on all of your rates that they use/book?

If so, you can register the company to your system (if not already done so) and assign it to 1 of 6 possible rate values from within the selling group that it has been registered to. The rate that you assign it to can be a percentage of your own rates (whether an increase or decrease) .

For example, if you want a regular company to have 5% discount off all their bookings, you would assign them to a rate value that offers -5% from your rates.

Whenever you set a company or agent a Rate Value, the rate modifier is always applied to all rates that the company or agent uses/books.

Do you want this company to have a discount or increase to a specific rate that you already have in your account?

If so, you can create a linked rate which will allow you to add or subtract a percentage or set amount from a current rate and assign the linked rate to the selling group that the company is registered to.

All companies and agents within the same selling group will have access to the linked rate (unless an online sales channel as the rate would need to be mapped in the iBex Channel Manager before they can use it).

If the company or agent has a Rate Value set, the rate modifier is applied to all rates that the company or agent uses/books which would also apply to the linked rate.

Do you want this company to have a different rate that is unrelated to any other rate that you have in your system?

If so, you would need to create a new rate and map it only to the selling group that the company is registered to.

All companies and agents within the same selling group will have access to the linked rate (unless an online sales channel as the rate would need to be mapped in the iBex Channel Manager before they can use it).

If the company or agent has a Rate Value set, the rate modifier is applied to all rates that the company or agent uses/books which would also apply to any new rate.
